Built-to-print · Specials · One-offs

If you have a print, we can have the gage made

Standard gages come from the major manufacturers you already know. The special stuff — the odd pitch, the proprietary spline, the gage nobody stocks — comes from our privately contracted manufacturing network. That network is the reason we can say yes when the catalog says no.

WHAT WE BUILD

Custom Fixed Limit Gaging

Thread plugs and rings in nonstandard pitches and classes · cylindrical plug and pin gages to your tolerance · spline gages · taper gages · snap gages · master rings and master plugs · full built-to-print work from your drawing.

Material spec'd to your volume and wear requirements: tool steel, chrome, TiN, carbide, ceramic.

WHY IT WORKS

A Machinist's Eye on Every Quote

Founder Ray Lamitola owned and ran a machine shop that produced gages before founding Walden Gage. Every print that comes in gets read by someone who has actually made these — which means realistic lead times, honest feasibility calls, and no quote surprises at delivery.

Our contract manufacturers are small, specialized shops we've vetted over years. We don't publish their names — that relationship network is the product.

How it goes

Print to gage in four steps

1. Send the print

Email your drawing or spec to Sales@waldengage.com — PDF, DXF, or a photo of the title block gets us started.

2. Same-day quote

We review feasibility, match the job to the right shop, and quote — typically the same day.

3. Manufacture

Your gage is built to print at a vetted contract shop, with certification to your requirement.

4. Calibrate & recur

Optional: fold the new gage straight into a managed calibration schedule through our ISO/IEC 17025-accredited partner labs.

As everywhere on this site: Walden Gage is a distributor and calibration manager, not an accredited laboratory. Calibration of your custom gages is performed by ISO/IEC 17025-accredited partner labs, with certificates in your auditor's hands.
